- The setting Tesla doesn't offer
- 80% at home to spare the battery, 100% at work to leave with range to spare. iCar sets the limit the moment you plug in. The car only reports that it is there; no address is ever shared with us.
- Superchargers you can actually reach
- Not the closest ones: the ones truly within what you have left. The radius comes from your range at this moment.

You avoid fines, and you drive at the right speed.
- Facing your direction of travel
- A camera watching the opposite carriageway is none of your business: where its bearing is known, it is compared with your heading.
- A public source, kept current
- Positions are checked and refreshed regularly. What you pay for is the work of keeping them current and announcing them at the right moment.

Castles, abbeys, memorials: along your route, a panel tells you what you're approaching, with its photo and the summary of its article.

- Summaries and photos arrive in thirty-kilometre batches, long before they're needed. A tunnel doesn't leave the panel empty.
- One button to read, one to go
- The article opens over the screen without leaving iCar. And if the place tempts you, the destination goes straight to the car's own navigation.

Live television, and something to pass the time

A charging stop lasts twenty minutes, sometimes forty. iCar puts a TV player and a few games on the car's screen, so that time looks like something other than waiting in front of a gauge.
- Hundreds of channels, nothing to install
- The player is built in: no app, no account, no key to type on a touchscreen. Several hundred channels from around the world, grouped by category, checked every night — one channel in six stops broadcasting from one month to the next, and a dead stream is a black screen you end up staring at.
- Games for charging stops
- Snake is there, with its best score kept from one game to the next: the game you start without thinking about it while the car charges. And plenty more to come.
